CRaB recently launched a new podcast series – Culture Bars.
Culture Bars is a collaborative project realized by international scholars, educators, artists and grassroots community organizations that intends to explore the benefits of Hip-Hop-Based-Education as an inclusive school and community practice. Each episode explores the possibilities and benefits of introducing Hip-Hop-Based-Education, already a successful educational practice in the US, in the UK. Hip-Hop-Based-Education has proved to be successful in helping students with content acquisition, wellbeing and critical thinking, and it has showed advantages for school administrators, teachers, students and their families.
Each episode will involve a different theme introduced through interviews and discussions with educators and musicians from the US and UK. Ultimately our aim is to try and find out the best fit for this kind of work in Britain
